Salvar la Villa Verdi en Sant’Agata

El pasado 2 de febrero Gennaro Sangiuliano, Ministro de Cultura de Italia, anunció el proyecto Viva Verdi, para restaurar y proteger la casa-museo de Verdi en , cerca de Piacenza, donde Verdi vivió los últimos años de su vida. Sangiuliano declaró que "Giuseppe Verdi es una figura clave del Risorgimento nacional, una figura tan significativa como Garibaldi, Mazzini y Cavour. Es una obligación de la República Italiana honrar su memoria."
Villa Verdi está situada en Sant'Agata di Villanova sull'Arda, no lejos de la casa del compositor en Buseto y de su lugar de nacimiento en el pequeño pueblo de Le Roncole. Tras un desacuerdo entre herederos, la villa está actualmente en subasta y en Ministerio de Cultura ha anunciado que el gobierno italiano va a ejercer su derecho preferente de compra debido a la importancia artística e histórica de esta casa. Aunque el gobierno ya ha presupuestado los fondos para la compra en 2023, todas la fundaciones italianas de opera se han juntado para contribuir a esta compra, así como para dar a conocer la importrancia de esta mansión histórica donde Verdi compuso varias de sus óperas.
El 15 de junio tendrá lugar un ensayo abierto al público de Macbeth de Verdi en el Teatro alla Scala de Milán con el fin de recaudar fondos para la conservación de la Villa Verdi en Sant’Agata di Villanova sull’Arda, un proyecto del Ministerio de Cultura italiano. Macbeth tendrá dirección escénica de Davide Livermore, estará dirigido por Giampaolo Bisanti y protagonizado por Luca Salsi y Ekaterina Semenchuk. The “Viva Verdi” initiative was presented yesterday in
Rome at the Ministry of Culture. The Ministry, in collaboration with the
Italian opera-symphonic theatres, supports the project to safeguard and promote
Villa Verdi, the composer's house-museum in Sant’Agata di Villanova sull’Arda.
The Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sangiuliano; the
Undersecretary for Culture, Gianmarco Mazzi; the President of AGIS and
Superintendent of the Fondazione Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, Francesco Giambrone;
the Minister's Music Advisor, Beatrice Venezi; and the Director of RAI Cultura,
Silvia Calandrelli presented the programme, which includes 14 initiatives, from
the dress rehearsal of Aida at the Arena di Verona on February10th
to that of Macbeth at the Teatro alla Scala on June 15th.
The conference was attended by the Councillor for
Culture and Landscape of the Emilia-Romagna Region, Mauro Felicori; the mayors
of Villanova sull’Arda and Busseto, Romano Freddi and Stefano Nevicati; and
several Superintendents and representatives of the theatres involved, including
the Superintendent of Teatro alla Scala Dominique Meyer.
Teatro alla Scala is taking part in the initiative by opening to the public the dress rehearsal of Macbeth on Thursday June 15th at 8 p.m. The preview will be sold at the same price as the other performances (from € 10 to € 252) with the possibility of adding a donation. Tickets go on sale from April 6th with pre-emption from March 23rd for subscribers and members of the Under 30/35 Community.
This is the revival of the production that opened the
2021/2022 Season with 12 minutes of applause, marking an important step towards
normality after the pandemic. The direction, set in a disturbing present or
future, is signed by Davide Livermore and moves in the monumental spaces full
of Portaluppi references designed by Giò Forma, while the costumes are by
Gianluca Falaschi. On the podium is Giampaolo Bisanti, a Milanese conductor in
his second La Scala title after his success with Adriana Lecouvreur. The
protagonist is Luca Salsi, a Verdi baritone of reference in our years, while
Lady is Ekaterina Semenchuk, who already sung with success in some performances
in December 2021. Completing the main roles are Jongmin Park as Banco and Fabio
Sartori as Macduff.

10 a.m. online and at the Ticket Office in Largo Ghiringhelli (Monday-Saturday
12 noon-6 p.m.).
For subscribers to the Teatro alla Scala and members
of the Under 30 and Under 30/35 Community there will be a pre-emption purchase
starting from Thursday March 23rd at 12 noon.
Prices from 10 to 252 euros including pre-sale.
Special prices for Under 30/35 for Pass or Season Ticket holders.
In the purchase process all purchasers will be able to add an additional donation from 30 to 100 euros.
