The catalogue of the Archivo Histórico de la Unión Musical Española (UME)

The publication of the catalogue of the Archivo Histórico de la Unión Musical Española (UME) comes as a result of a lengthy cataloguing process dating back to the donation of this immense collection of sheet music in 1992, consisting of close to 20,000 titles. The collection represents one of the most important bodies of printed music in Spain and contains copies of works from as many as 70 different music publishers, which were gradually absorbed by the Casa Dotesio publishing group at the beginning of the century. Casa Dotesio was originally formed in 1900 and went on to become known as Unión Musical Española in 1914, after the company's official constitution in 1914.
