The sound conceived and conducted by Dima Slobodeniouk together with the images created by Mariame Clément made of this Premiere an unforgettable representation of Le Grand Macabre. From the point of view of the musical interpretation, I really enjoyed the fabulous sharpness and clarity in the sound of the Essener Philarmoniker conducted by the proverbial Dima Slobodeniouk (Music Director of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia).

From the point of view of the régie, among the images created by Mariame Clément, I would like to highlight The Netherlandish Proverbs by Pieter Bruegel, shown in the first picture below, and where the original play by the Belgian dramatist Michel de Ghelderode takes place.
