After a thrilling competition concert featuring the three finalists of the 8th International Conductors’ Competition Sir Georg Solti, the jury announced its decision to award 1st prize to Valentin Uryupin (31 years old) from Russia, 2nd prize to Wilson Ng (27) from China and 3rd prize to U.S. conductor Farkhad Khudyev (31).
Moderator Ariane Binder led the audience through the closing competition concert at Alte Oper Frankfurt on Sunday morning, when the three finalists conducted the Frankfurt Radio Symphony.
