Interview with Botstein: Democracy in America now faces the gravest threat since the Civil War

Under the aegis of renowned conductor Leon Botstein, The Orchestra Now (TŌN) of the private liberal arts university Bard College in New York visits Germany this May to offer two concerts commemorating the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II (1939-1945) in Europe.

The first will take place on Tuesday, May 6 in Koblenz, as part of the IMUKO Festival (Internationale Musik-Kontakte), with works by Max Bruch (Adagio on Celtic melodies and Ave Maria), Robert Schumann (Symphony No. 3, Rhenish), Felix Mendelssohn (Symphony No. 5, Reformation), and cellist Benedict Kloeckner as guest soloist.
